Day 5: Kinabatangan Adventure

Next we went ahead to Nature Lodge Kinabatangan, around 45 minutes from Gua Gomantong. Jay told us there were 4 villages famous for tourism along Kinabatangan river:-Kg Abai, Sukau, Bilit and Batu Putih. Sampai lodge, the girls masuk dorm long tailed monkey and the guys got the pig-tailed monkey dorm  .
Lepas solat terus start river cruise at Kinabatangan river. Lebar siot sungainya... dalam tu takyah citer la. We saw a lot of birds, amongst others were oriental darter and kingfisher. Kingfishers were exceptionally colorful and gorgeous. I never thought I would adore bird. Along macam biasa laa amik gambar berkeping2.
Jay was a very informative tourist guide. He explained that porboscis monkeys (monyet hidung besar tu- ada banyak along the river) scientific name is Nasalis Larvatus (if I'm not mistaken) where larva tu refer tu perutnya yg banyak larva so they all tak boley makan buah yang manis mcm pisang, unlike normal monkeys.
People at Nature Lodge Kinabatangan were very friendly. Angah seronok main ngan one of the worker's son:-Ryzad Shaq but they called him Q for short. We ordered extra menu for dinner:- 3kg udang galah (coz aku la nak sangat makan udang). I think it was the freshest prawns I've eaten my whole life! Mana taknya, diorang baru pancing pagi tu dkt sungai kinabatangan! But they did say sungai yang byk udang ada byk crocodile as well, hmmm...
At night, we went for jungle trekking looking for night creatures. Carik kongkang tapi tak jumpa hehe...
