Last year, we celebrated Merdeka Eve at KLCC. Although the fireworks were great, the feelings was not that fun. They were too many people, mostly were eager waiting for the singers rather than to celebrate the merdeka moment. ( I assume that since a lot of them are foreigners, and keep on talking about who were going to perform). Plus, ada pulak yg sibuk 'race motor', and rubbish were everywhere! It failed to give me a true merdeka moment. *sigh*
So this year, we've decided to do something else. Watching those meaningful merdeka ads from Petronas and MAS, I really think history is the way to go this year. Plus both of us are history geek  , so it could be great.
Thus, we've decided to visit Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial. Well, since he's Bapa Kemerdekaan, logically that's where everything started rite.
It was a super-great decision, jauh lagik best dari Muzium Negara. Even Nany yg tak suka sejarah pun enjoy. hehe....Kitorang betul betul rasa insaf bila baca + tgk perjuangan kemerdekaan allahyarham dan para sahabatnya. He is such a charismatic and down to earth person. Pada akhir hayatnya, beliau seperti agak sedih + amat merendah diri. Which make us feel really touched.
Lepas lawat memorial, kitorang pergi Tugu Negara. FYI, tempat nie juga diilhamkan oleh Bapa Kemerdekaan kita sempena memperingati semua pahlawan2 negara. Ramai jugak orang, ada yg siap main badminton lagik 
I salute those who keep both places very well-maintaned & clean.
Selamat Menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan. Semoga kita semua dapat menilai erti merdeka yg sebenarnya..

Ansara Volleyball Match @ Dewan MBSA Shah Alam
|
|
Last Sunday, Ansara held a volleyball match at Shah Alam. Bebudak gerik pun decide nak join. Ada 8 team semuanya, so penganjur bahagikan kepada 2 kumpulan - match secara liga. The girls did not have a team, so we've decided to cheer instead. It was really fun.
There were 3 matches alltogether. We lose all games, but with a great fight  . Abg abg ansara lain lebih skillful coz obviously they've played as a team before. So utk kitorang yg tak pernah main tu kira terer laa..hehe.. . Some more, irfan pun rabun coz glasses dah pecah. Kesian...If we planned this thingy earlier, maybe boley gather bebudak gerik batch lain yg lebih cekap. Next year, maybe  .
Anyway, jijan of course puas hati dpt main since volley was his soul for the past 2 years in tepeng. Matput pun agaknya teringat saat saat bebudak convent tepeng sorak time depa main zaman dulu..hihi...Well, the referee cum coach obviously think jijan reti main, coz he invites him to join their team practise. tahniah tahniah .
After the match, kitorang serbu laa kedai makan..lapar weih..

Ahad lepas pergi konvo m.yam. Berpusing pusing jugak carik parking. Kitorang sampai tu, just on time dia keluar dewan. Tapi lama jugak menunggu, sbb dia keluar ikut pintu lain. Nasib baik tak hujan, so seronoklah kami berposing. UIA mmg cantik, building2 nya dibina mengikut seni bina Islam (nie menurut kata cik tina beberapa thn lepas..hehe...)
Congratsss m.yam!!!!!! Cayanggg ko, muahhhsss...selamat mencari kerja!

We went to watch UnguViolet that wednesday. Walaupun hari kerja, berusaha jugak pergi sebab Dian Sastro datang! Parking jer kereta, terus lari lari naik escalator.
She's so drop dead gorgeous!!! The story is good, tapi kalau nk dibandingkan, Sepet lagik best lah .

Farewell dinner & balik kampung

Last weekend pergi Ipoh utk join jijan punya department farewell dinner. Makan punya pasal, mesti lah kena pergi kan. hehe....Diorang buat dkt Restoran Sabar Menanti. Katanya restoran tu masak lambat, sebab tu nama macam tu. huhu...Tapi kitorang dah booking dulu, jadik takde laa lambat.
Dari Ipoh, terus blk kampung sbb mak tak sihat. Nampak mak mcm demam rindu kot sbb bila anak anak dia balik, terus larat berjalan. Siap ikut pergi kebun lagik, rindu kebun katanya.
Kebun dekat je dari rumah, buah banyak sampai tak larat nak ambik. 1st time laa kita tgk pokok dokong

~SMART READER SPORTS DAY~

We went for my niece; mya batrisyia's sport day at the Titiwangsa Stadium. I woke up in the morning, already so excited, and rushing hubby to hurry up ( coz my sister already left and I don't want to miss this event!). Such days are very important to the kids and I really wanted to go
When we arrived, we were just on time for the performance. There were six smart readers alltogether from Zone A. (Not sure how many zone this franchise have nowadays). Well, the performance heavily depends on teachers' creativity. There's one school chose the Star Wars theme song. The teacher must be a star wars' fan . Another school used the Bring it On theme song..oh yeah...that was a good one to match with kids' funky+ rhythmic excitement.
Then it's time for the sport. Tisya took part in Helping the Mom race. Basically lari, jemur kain, and patah balik . Well, both of the cameraman (azizan & my nephew) were too excited video recording the moment tisya ran + sidai baju, so there's actually no picture at that moment..*sigh*
The teachers advised all the parents not to come too near to the kids, coz this might distract them. I totally remember what it's like. Back in my kindergarten time, everytime I knew my parents are watching, I suddenly became shy . But looks like some parents did not listen, still coming near and as a result some kids cried = want to follow their parents to the podium instead. Kesian cikgu...
From the podium seeing her playing with friends, I can't fight my tears. I felt so happy + proud seeing how grown up she becomes. She was just a small baby way back then....I'm one happy auntie!
I waited until everything's over before went and say hi to tisya (coz to avoid the 'shy' thing). Her first sentence when she saw me was..."Why you have smart reader's balloon? . hehe..of course I have balloons! I'm the happy + cheerful aunt
And thanx to my hubby who willing to wait until the event is over and to steal 3 balloons for me!!!! Thank you! Maybe next time I should keep scissors in my handbag so that we can cut those rope much easier

~Pesta Durian~
|
|
Minggu lepas, mana mana kami drive mesti nampak durian. Teringin sangat nak beli, tapi takut tak puas hati pulak dgn kualitinya. (lagikpun kereta baru tak boley letak durian beb...hehe...).
Pucuk dicita ulam mendatang... Ptg ahad tu, makcik yah telefon. Dia & pakcik Aziz baru balik dari kebun ( located somewhere between Tg. Malim & Kuala Kubu Bharu according to my mom), so kami semua dijemput anak beranak. Apa lagi, terus laa pergi serbu rumah dia di TTDI. Berpesta laa kami. Mmg bertuah rakyat Malaysia dpt makan durian . Kali nie saya yg jadik photographer sbb cik abg terlalu "busy" .
Lepas kenyang mkn durian dkt porch, ke dapur lah pulak utk phase II - mkn dgn pulut . Makan durian dgn pulut nie macam2 style; kedah, kelate, perak..semua ada ha...
Banyak2 terima kasih utk m.yah sekeluarga!!! Duriannya mmg MARVELLOUS!

Kenduri di rumah Fiera

Hari sabtu lepas, 18 Jun 2005, kitorang attend kenduri one of my best friend, fierah dkt Tmn Mamanda. Tema kaler biru. Waktu tengahari lagik kitorang dah dtg. Tolong apa yg patut, sambil2 makan tengahari. hehehe....Kenduri meriah betul, sampai 16 khemah dipasang.
Kami tiba mlm tu selepas maghrib. Alhamdulilah semuanya berjalan lancar. Ramai betul VIP yg hadir. Kitorang join tempat buffet dan terus makan. Wahhhh...sedap betul nasik nya, menyesal ambik sikit (Catering : Hidayah Ampang Point).
Ketibaan pengantin disusuli dgn Majlis Tanda Ingatan - sesi menyarung cincin dari pengantin perempuan buat anak anak. Semoga pengantin dan fierah sekeluarga berbahagia selamanya.....

last 2 weeks we went to midvalley..wanna take back my nike watch (after soooo long repaired..at last)
pastu tetiba ader sorang budak kecik comel tu bagitau,"bang..bang..arini kul 12 t/h ader geng madagascar datang kat cinema atas"..beria-ria dier.. so bawak la dier ..
nasib bawak dig cam.. seronok giler dapat tangkap gambar.. ; )
last week lak balik pengkalan hulu..duhh bestnyerr..especially for my stomach.. 4 kenduri for 2 days..
nak wat camner .. dah dijemput tak datang berdosa..enjoy the pics

Majlis Menyambut Menantu di Pengkalan Hulu, Perak
|

Majlis Menyambut Menantu dilangsungkan pada 22 Mei 2005, di Pengkalan Hulu, Perak. Majlis amat meriah disebabkan kali ini kita meraikan 2 pasang pengantin (bersama dgn kakak azizan yg selamat diakad nikah kan pada 21 Mei 2005).
Rombongan pengantin telah tiba sehari sebelumnya, dan kami beramai ramai bermalam di Chalet Air Panas ( cuma 3 minit ke rumah pengantin lelaki). Terima kasih buat semua yg hadir.
